Beach and Swimming Policies

  • Only single poled shade structures are allowed on the beach and must not block lifeguard sight lines or access to the water.
  • Swimming is permitted only in designated areas when lifeguards are on duty. Open water swimming is not allowed.
  • Lifeguards are responsible for watching the water. Please be mindful of your child in all areas of the park.
  • No child under the age of fifteen is to be left unattended.
  • Bubbles, water wings, rafts and other floating devices are prohibited. Coast guard approved lifejackets are acceptable.
  • Swimmers are allowed to swim to the rafts only if they are able to make it on their own and without a lifejacket.
  • No pushing or flipping off the rafts.
  • No alcoholic beverages are permitted in the water.
  • Please do not bring glass containers to the park.
  • Place all trash in the receptacles and recycling bins.
  • Smoking is prohibited on the beach and all picnic areas.
  • No foul language or playing of loud music.
  • Picnic tables and grilles are used on a first come first serve basis. Reserving of tables or grilles is not allowed.
  • Baby changing tables are provided in Dunning Lake Bathhouse.
  • Do not use picnic tables for this activity.
  • Fishing is not permitted on the beach.
  • Please be respectful of staff and their decisions. They are here to ensure everyone's safety.
